Police say they’re bringing the TT road safety campaign bang up to date with a slogan from William Shakespeare.

Senior officers are thought to have changed their mind over using the tired 1939 “Keep Calm and…” meme.

They’ll now use a brand new slogan “I would give all of my fame for a pot of ale and safety” from the 1599 hit play Henry V.

“Using a 500 year old slogan ensures we’re in line with current social attitudes on issues like abortion,” said one cop.
