TT 2018 is to feature a new race class after snow closed the Mountain Road.

Organisers say they’ll open the race festival up to snowcats, as white stuff from the sky lies on the course with just weeks to go until racing starts.

“It’s just easier than gritting,” a spokesman for the Department of Infrastructure said.
