A Manx Facebook group is celebrating after winning the contract to deal with the Island’s rubbish.

Isle of Man News and Politics will consume trash currently taken to the Braddan energy-from-waste plant and dispose of it on the social media network.

The organisation has had some years experience handling toxic rubbish and piles of garbage.

A spokesman for the group said the move is part of a strategic market repositioning, with a shift to consuming rather than spouting garbage.
