Telecoms firms are to hold an illegal street race to decide who’s the best once and for all, it’s been revealed.

For the past few weeks, Manx Telecom and Sure have traded blows in a war of words over their services – and agreed to race to decide the issue after MT’s director of product analysis delivered a glove-slap to Sure’s head of consumer awareness.

Both companies say they’ve now recruited teams of young men listening to Rock’n’Roll music and tinkering with their hot rods around the clock.

The race will be held on an unnamed public road, and the cars will be powered by each network’s broadband.
