A man’s fallen to his death after a high-speed chase from compliance officers asking for a photocopy of his passport.

Two members of bank staff pursued Hans Gruber to the Sea Terminal in Douglas after he flagrantly disregarded KYC regulations.

A 15-minute shootout ensued on the building’s roof before one of the compliance team, who was just three days from retirement, managed to tackle him.

However, he slipped to his death despite the best efforts of the regulators to save him.
